The Harvard campus is glorious. When you think of the stereotypical American college campus you can't not think of the Harvard campus with its beautiful brick buildings surrounding grass quads and mature trees. Harvard College was named after Reverend John Harvard who donated money and his library of over 400 books to the school.

Prominently sitting in front of University Hall is this sculpture of John Harvard. No one knew what John Harvard looked like so the sculptor, Daniel Chester French, used one of his students as a model for the sculpture. Notice the one polished left shoe. This is because it is believed that by rubbing the sculpture's left shoe, one gains good luck.
